About Zone 2 Software

Zone 2 Software provides software services from the Cloud to the Edge, specializing in Edge deployments and architectures.

What’s so special about the edge?

We know that customers want Edge software architectures that are manageable, scalable, and reliable – just as they are in the Cloud. They want those same capabilities at the Edge. But the Edge is not the Cloud, so edge software must posess key properties:

  • Low overhead, for small footprint devices
  • Autonomously self-managing
  • Adaptable to failures of network and compute

Zone 2 Software has the expertise to enable scalable, manageable, and efficient Edge computing.

Key Services

We provide the following services to help our customers make the Edge a reality:

Architecture definition or review

Zone 2 Software helps engineering teams define new Edge architectures. We can also review existing architectures, resolving known issues and identifying potential future stumbling blocks.

Software development

We develop and license software tools to create new and key edge capabilities. We deliver PoCs that map the way around a customer roadblock, jumpstarting a team’s productive development. We specialize in Go, C and Java, but other languages are also possible.

Threat modeling and security analysis

We work with teams to perform threat modeling and security analysis on existing architectures, identifying existing threates and architecting mitigations. We can also train teams for self-sufficiency.

IP development

We provide IP training and harvest sessions to help teams capture key ideas.
